A Realistic 6-Day Safari Itinerary for Tanzania
A Realistic 6-Day Safari Itinerary for Tanzania
What you can fit into 6 days on safari in Tanzania
With six days, you can fit in the whole classic Northern Circuit: Tarangire, Lake Manyara, the Ngorongoro Crater, plus two to three nights spread over different parts of the Serengeti. Don't skip over that last detail. Shifting between Serengeti zones means you can head wherever the migration really is that month, rather than staying put in one spot after the herds have moved on.
Photographers get a lot out of this length too. A single pass through an area gives you one chance; six days lets you come back for repeat game drives in the same zone at various times of day, so you catch morning and late-afternoon light in one place without a one-shot-and-move-on approach.
Both of those perks, following the migration and returning to promising sightings, make six days a well-balanced length to build a trip around.
