Getting to Tanzania from France: Flights, Visas and Trip Planning
How to plan a Tanzania safari from France: flights, visa rules and logistics
Most flights from Paris to Kilimanjaro stop in Amsterdam, Doha or Addis Ababa. French travelers therefore get a workable, if not fully direct, trip to Tanzania.
A French passport generally qualifies you for an e-Visa or a visa on arrival when your stay is a standard safari length. Among French visitors in particular, we often see a 7-night safari followed by some beach time on Zanzibar's east coast. The routing already passes fairly close, so the pairing comes easily, and it stretches a wildlife-focused trip into a true two-part holiday.
If you're setting out from France, a week on safari is a realistic, well-proportioned trip in its own right. Adding Zanzibar afterward is a simple extension, not a major detour.
