Yellow Fever Certificate Rules for Tanzania
Yellow Fever Certificate Rules for Tanzania
Practical, real-world guidance from Map Adventure Safari
Tanzania generally requires a yellow fever vaccination certificate if you're arriving from, or have transited through, a country where yellow fever is a transmission risk. It isn't demanded of every visitor, but depending on routing it applies to a sizable share of international travelers.
If the requirement covers you, the vaccination must be done at least 10 days before arrival for the certificate to be accepted. You can't arrange it the week before you fly and still meet the deadline.
Entry rules like this can change, so check the current requirements close to your actual travel date instead of trusting information that may be a year or two old. Our broader Tanzania visa guide covers other entry requirements, or contact us if you're not sure whether the yellow fever rule applies to your particular routing.
