From June through October, the dry season delivers the most reliable game viewing across the whole Serengeti. Vegetation is thinner and animals gather around the remaining water sources, so this is the safest bet if consistent sightings matter most to your trip. The green season, November through May, gives up some of that reliability in exchange for real advantages: noticeably fewer vehicles at every sighting, and camp rates that fall well below dry-season peak pricing. Our green season guide looks at that trade-off in more detail. The most important point, though, is that your timing should follow where the migration actually is, not a fixed calendar. Rainfall moves the exact dates from year to year. That's why we build itineraries around current herd positioning, instead of assuming this year will repeat last year's pattern exactly. See our month-by-month migration guide, or contact us to time your trip around current conditions.
