Overview
Fitting gorilla trekking into a shorter trip is practical with this 2-day itinerary. The extra day over a single-day visit means a proper overnight near Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a real forest lodge stay instead of a rushed same-day return.
The trekking day follows the standard format. After an early start and a briefing at park headquarters, you hike, for a variable length, to a habituated gorilla family and then spend a closely regulated hour observing them up close. Day two allows a more relaxed departure, not a tight same-day turnaround.
Choose it as a standalone gorilla trekking trip, or as an easy add-on to a longer Uganda, Rwanda or Tanzania itinerary.
Our gorilla tracking guide covers permit costs and logistics, or contact us to check availability.
