Overview
Timed around calving season on the Ndutu plains, this trip targets one of Africa's most concentrated wildlife photography events. As many as 8,000 wildebeest calves can arrive in a single day, pulling in predators in numbers that rival anything else along the migration's annual route.
Drives built for photography put positioning ahead of distance, because the action unfolds in a fairly compact area and doesn't need long transfers between sightings. Guides here know Ndutu's seasonal patterns and where predators tend to gather as calving builds.

Day by Day (8 days)
When you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our representative welcomes you and transfers you to Arusha for the night.
Spend the day viewing game at Lake Manyara, famed for its tree-climbing lions and rich birdlife.
The day is devoted to exploring the floor of Ngorongoro Crater, among the most wildlife-rich viewing areas anywhere in Africa.
Drive south to the Ndutu area of the Serengeti, a prime spot for photographing calving-season wildlife and the predators that follow.
Spend another day photographing Ndutu's wildlife, returning at different times of light to the best sightings of the previous day.
Head north into the central Serengeti, with chances to take photographs on the way as the terrain moves from plains to woodland.
One more day of photography around Seronera, the Serengeti's central area, where resident lion prides live and leopard sightings are reliable.
A scenic bush flight returns you to Arusha, where you connect to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight home.
