Overview
Ten days gives a honeymoon safari room to breathe. You can cover the Northern Circuit's classic parks properly, among them the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the famous Lake Manyara National Park, and avoid the rushed pace a shorter trip sometimes demands.
Private game drives and romantic extras shape each day: a private dinner under the stars, a couples' spa treatment where available, or a hot air balloon flight above the Serengeti. They're layered onto a wildlife-focused itinerary and never take its place. With ten days there's also space for a rest day or two between longer driving days, which keeps the trip from becoming a race from park to park.
Plenty of couples add a few days on Zanzibar afterward, though the itinerary stands on its own as a complete Tanzania honeymoon.

Day by Day (10 days)
Leave Arusha for Lake Manyara National Park, which is known for its tree-climbing lions and rich birdlife.
A full day of game drives takes you through Lake Manyara, a park with varied habitat that ranges from groundwater forest to open plains.
Drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You spend the night on the crater rim, overlooking the caldera below.
Spend the day on the crater floor, a full day of game viewing in one of Africa's most concentrated wildlife areas.
Another day is spent exploring the crater floor, with a real chance of seeing all of the Big Five inside a single, contained caldera.
Drive to the Serengeti, with game viewing on the way. On arrival you take an afternoon game drive, and overnight in the central Serengeti.
Spend a full day on game drives in the central Seronera area of the Serengeti, home to resident lion prides and, depending on the season, the migration.
Another day exploring different parts of the Serengeti, with game drives in the morning and afternoon.
You travel to Tarangire National Park, famed for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees, and go on an afternoon game drive when you arrive.
Take a last game drive in the morning, then drive back to Arusha for your onward departure.
