Overview
Seven days on Zanzibar lets you see more of the island than its beaches while still leaving whole days free for doing nothing at all, should that be your goal.
Choose your own rhythm: dive or snorkel the reefs, stroll through the markets and past the history of Stone Town, or lie on a lounger and watch the ocean. A week means none of it has to be squeezed into a hurried few days. The island has good options for pretty much any traveler, whether you like to stay busy or want a week of minimal effort.
This is also long enough to be a holiday in itself, not just an add-on to a safari. After seven days you will feel you have really enjoyed an island escape, not merely passed through on a short stop between other plans.

Day by Day (7 days)
When you arrive in Zanzibar, our representative meets you and takes you to Mtoni Marine Hotel, where you spend the night. (Dinner is left to the client’s own choice)
Following breakfast, the Stone Town tour begins. It lasts 2 hours and covers the most scenic parts of the Old Town, the cultural heart of Zanzibar. Our guides are experienced and know the island’s rich history very well. The Old Town is full of magic and mystery, and shafts of sharp light joust with deep shadows to create a fascinating world in the narrow streets.
Bed and Breakfast overnight, at Mtoni Marine hotel
UNESCO recently named Stone Town one of the world’s historic cities, and it is now a protected area in Zanzibar. On the tour you visit the former slave market site; the cathedral (Cathedral Church of Christ) built there in 1874, the Sultan’s palace, and more. Afterward, relax at leisure at the beachside.
After breakfast, you are collected from the hotel and transferred to Kizimbani Village for the Spice Tour.
For much of the year, the scent of cloves drifts on the breeze from the clove buds drying in the sun on mats at the roadside. The Spice Island, as it is affectionately known, has over forty of the most valuable tropical aromatic plants, which the Oman Arabs introduced over the last two centuries. The spices grow in the spice grades in the hills north of Stone Town. Our knowledgeable guides lead you through this fascinating tour. You can taste spices and even buy them. Later you are driven to the North East Coast to check in at Zamani Kempinski.
Pass the day enjoying the East Coast beaches and the Swahili way of life, or relax by the resort’s swimming pool. Breakfast and dinner included, with overnight at Melia Zanzibar hotel.
After breakfast, you are picked up for a half-day visit to Jozani Forest.
This forest is one of the last sanctuaries in the world for the red colobus monkey. The forest paths offer wonderful photo opportunities and possible sightings of these rare creatures living in the forest reserves.
Following lunch, you transfer to Melia Zanzibar for the night.
Hotel breakfast, then a full day at leisure. The evening brings dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Enjoy our white beach for 7 days Zanzibar Beach
Once breakfast is finished, check out and get transferred to Zanzibar Airport to board your flight out of Zanzibar.
This marks the close of the 7 Days Zanzibar Beach Holiday.
